
Kathy Bentley is a nationally recognized Parent Educator and the owner of Kathy's Parenting Solutions. She has her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and her Masters in Counseling Services. She is an annual presenter at the Hawaii Association for the Education of Young Children and the Hawaii Baptist Early Education Association Conferences. She has presented at the Native Hawaiian Education Association Conference, Hawaii State Child Abuse Conferences, HAEYC's Leadership symposiums, the Hawaii Statewide Family summit, the Kamehameha Scholars Ho'ike, the Honolulu District PCNC staff development meeting, Pearl Harbor's Parent Academy and Schofield Barrack's Couples University. She presents workshops to preschools, elementary, middle and high schools, and other parent groups. She has appeared as a parenting expert on the Channel 2 Morning News, KITV 4 News This Morning, The Privilege of Parenting radio show and as a guest on Town Square on Hawaii Public Radio. She has written articles for Hawaii Parent Magazine.
In 2004 Kathy was selected as one of the 12 Outstanding Parent Educators in North America by Parenting Press.
Kathy is a member of the Kaneohe Community Family Center Advisory Board and the Waianae Neighborhood Place Advisory Board.
Kathy is a member of the National Parenting Education Network and the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
